For any video editor speed is crucial. Whether you’re an upstart or an experience professional you should always aim at shaving some time during post.
When my last job needed me to edit in Avid I had never used it before. I basically learned on the job. However a huge learning curve came from the labeled keyboard. Apple has been making some for its FCP users but these skins are way more cost effective. I came across this link at a blog called Multimediashooter.com
